Intellectual Property Policy

This Intellectual Property Policy defines the ownership rights and usage licenses between WDDIS (Website Design & Development IT Solutions) and our clients regarding digital deliverables created across our IT divisions.

Upon 100% full invoice settlement and project completion, ownership of customized client deliverables transfers directly to the client:

• Custom Source Code & UI Design: Clients obtain full ownership of bespoke website designs, custom child themes, graphic artwork, logo files, and customized web application code built specifically for their project.
• Delivery Transfer Channels: Source files are transferred via the client's chosen channel (WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, or Direct WooCommerce Client Dashboard Download).
• Pre-requisite Condition: Title ownership and source code transfer do not apply to unpaid, cancelled, or partially funded milestone projects.

WDDIS retains full ownership of its pre-existing intellectual property, including proprietary developer tools, code libraries, core scripts, automation workflows, and reusable design components.

When pre-existing WDDIS frameworks are integrated into a client project, the client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to operate and run that code within their delivered website.

Modern web solutions utilize open-source frameworks and third-party software tools:

• Open-Source Software: Core CMS platforms (WordPress, WooCommerce) and open-source libraries are governed by their respective distribution licenses (e.g., GNU General Public License - GPL).
• Premium Plugins & Stock Media: Commercial plugins, premium themes, stock photography, and commercial fonts remain subject to the respective software author's licensing terms. Client ownership does not include re-licensing third-party assets independently.

Clients retain full ownership of all logos, text copy, trademarked brand materials, photos, and databases provided to WDDIS for project integration. The client guarantees they hold necessary copyright permissions for all supplied materials and indemnifies WDDIS against third-party copyright claims.

Unless bound by a formal written Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) executed prior to development, WDDIS reserves the right to display completed public-facing website projects, graphic artwork, and case studies in our agency portfolio, website showcases, and marketing presentations.
